While Banff National Park is one of the world’s most beautiful places, it is in a fierce fight for skiers in the winter. The resort market is flooded with high spending, high profile competitors like Whistler, Aspen and Vail. Plus, it’s a National Park, which means severe restrictions on popular amenities like on-hill accommodation.
Our solution? Make the fact that we are in a National Park an advantage. With our partners at Banff Lake Louise Tourism, we developed a campaign called Nature Rules to position them as “The World’s Only Protected Mountain Resort.” To stretch dollars as far as possible, we developed a consistent look and feel that all partners in the park could use as well, thus ensuring a wider reach for the campaign.
Now in its second year, the Nature Rules brand positioning is consistently creating a unique and powerful image for Banff Lake Louise. More and more partners are adopting the campaign, including those from around the world, placing the brand on par with industry leaders.
